  • You CAN teach an old dog new tricks!

I am 33 years old and just cooked my first ever hard-boiled egg yesterday.  It's (obviously) not hard to do, but I've never really liked them so I've just never ever made one.  I even had to look up in a cookbook how to do it!

I sprinkled it on the Chicken Cobb Pitas I made for dinner last night and, I have to say, it was delicious!  And I was so proud, you'd think I had gathered the egg from the henhouse myself.

My husband wasn't too impressed.  He said he made egg salad in college all the time...

  • I'd never cooked hard boiled eggs until last year.  I always did the egg thing at my mom's or didn't do it at all.  I called her for the instructions.  I'm 38.  Crazy what you depend up on mom for sometimes!

  • I made them for the first time in September.  I was 32 then, now I'm 33.  See, we do leatn new things in our 30's!

  • I boiled one last night to go onto a salad - had to look it up... good thing too, I was intent on boiling it for two minutes...
There is that cool trick - if it spins, it's boiled. If it wobbles, it's not. But I think constantly taking it out and spinning it might not be conducive to the boiling part...
