  • No Christmas Cards this year

It's official - I'm not sending Christmas cards this year.

After two separate photo sessions of the kids (including a bath and trying to dress them in holiday outfits) that ending in all three of us sweaty, screaming and crying, I have given up!  I suddenly realized, why am I putting so much time and effort into this?

If anyone complains, or out right asks me for a Christmas card, I will simply remind them that I have a one year old and a two year old and then I will calmly refer them to this link.

  • Both your children are super adorable! I've been here and done this before Thanksgiving.

That reminds me..I bought a sweatshirt for Jake in NY a couple months back that went on hard and came off really hard. He started crying when the opening of the neck would reach his forehead. I finally pulled it over with a little finagling and he/we laughed about it afterward.)

  • aaaaaaaaaw they're so cute! did u try bringing them to the mall to sit on santa's lap?

  • Yikes! I think the pictures that you DID take really embody the Chritsmas spirit in its truest form anyway (at least in my house).

RYC: My report was on Salman Rushdie of all people. He fashions himself quite the literary "pimp". It's not that the material was fascinating...it's all in the presentation, baby...make em laugh, make em cry and all that jazz.

  • hehehe!!! i know what you mean ,at my house out of four ,there is always one kid who doesnt want to be on the picture!!!!

there is always next year for xmas cards... i am finally getting around to sending some!!

  • I can just imagine if we tried to do x-mas card pictures in our house.  The screaming and crying, tantrums, sleeping and dealing with what the kids are doing too!

ryc;  Thanks!  Hope I didn't start baby fever.  I know, I can't wait until she's a little less dependent, but once she is I'll miss this stage and start thinking about doing it all over again.  Maybe....the thought of another baby right now makes me feel like running.  Happy Holidays!
