  • I've written before about how much I love Yoga (especially the AshXanga Yoga).  But now that I have been at it for a few months, I am getting pretty good at it - if I do say so myself.  Which has made me realize just what a competitive person I am.

The thing I don't like about Yoga is that there are no medals, no ribbons, no winners.  Not even comments from the teacher like "You are the best balancer in the class" or "That was the best headstand you've ever done".  Come on!  Tell me I'm a natural!  Tell me you've never seen someone get so good so fast.  Tell me I should drop everything and move to India to study Yoga more diligently!  SOMETHING!!!!!

Aaaah, but alas - I believe I'm missing the whole point!

  • What?  They don't have "Contact Yoga?"

  • From the bottom of my heart:

"YOU ARE THE BEST BALANCER IN THE WHOLE WORLD!" (not just your class...) And you should totally post a video of you performing a headstand so that we can all be totally jealous. (I haven't been able to place my body in an upside-down position since 1980-something.)
